“…everything went extremely smoothly”
I live out of state, and had decided around the first of April that it was time for me to sell my house in Arizona. I had notified my renter, thinking that it would take her some time to find a new place. It took exactly one day and she informed me that she would be out by May 1. I received a postcard in the mail from [Oak Street Properties] on April 16 , thought, “what the heck?”, and called them. We had a very genial conversation and they made arrangements with my tenant to look at the house that very evening. The next morning [Oak Street Properties] called me and told me they would like to make the purchase. We discussed the timing of closing; they were very concerned that we not pressure my tenant in case she needed a few extra days to get moved. I had documents that morning via Docusign, I signed and returned them and the process was begun. There were a very few emails between myself and the title company, but everything went extremely smoothly. A notary came to my house even during this coronavirus crisis, papers were signed, and it was a done deal. I have had many real estate transactions in my lifetime, and this was definitely the easiest. Thank you, Oak Street Properties.
