“Everything was very smooth with no glitches to deal with. I appreciate the ease of this sale..“
Recently I had a house that looked like a tornado that went through it after the renters moved out. I was working out of state for a few months and flew back to decide what to do with it. The traditional option of cleaning it up, repairing it, doing a few upgrades, and selling it through a realtor was a viable option in today’s strong market. I also contacted several companies that buy for cash, eliminating my need to do all of the work. [Oak Street Properties] responded to my inquiry. I only had one day that I was available to meet at the property and they agreed to come out and see the house.
I was very open and let them know that I had not decided what I was going to do at that point and was collecting information to make a decision in the next week or so. [Oak Street Properties] did not push at all for an answer and understood that I had options to consider. Over the next week, I considered the various options and was actually leaning towards going with the realtor. Then [Oak Street Properties] asked if we could talk again and they were able to offer a price that was close to what I would net with the realtor at the bottom of what we expected the house to sell for. They still did not push for an immediate answer, and I did some more weighing of options. In the end, I decided that it was in my best interest to take the offer and sell the house to [Oak Street Properties]. After we spoke, I had a contract emailed to me within an hour. I heard from the title company the next day. We closed about a week and a half later and they worked around my night shift hours. Everything was very smooth with no glitches to deal with. I appreciate the ease of this sale and how professional [Oak Street Properties] was to work with.
